Bible and Beyond Courses Offered by the People’s Catholic Seminary
From time to time Early Christian Texts partners with our friends at the People’s Catholic Seminary (PCS) to present live online hybrid courses on their platform. The People’s Catholic Seminary courses are open to anyone, regardless of religious affiliation or creed.
Here’s what PCS says about their organization on their website:
PCS offers pathways to theological and ministerial competencies in a renewed priestly ministry that nurtures our baptismal call to live holy lives as midwives of grace in mystical, prophetic, and sacramental communities of equals.
The PCS courses are very similar to the Bible and Beyond live online hybrid courses offered by Early Christian Texts. Participants listen to recorded video lectures to prepare for group discussions. Zoom discussions are based on each section of the course videos, and these discussions are recorded for those who wish to listen again. Although the course materials are the same as those used in the Bible and Beyond online hybrid courses, most (but not all) of the people who usually participate in the PCS discussions have a Catholic background with a deep interest in learning.
Most courses on PCS cost between $100 and $150, and include lifetime access to the recorded lectures and printed materials.
