Two Revelations, Two Johns, One Secret

About the Course

The ancient world was filled with revelations. Some promised cosmic victory over evil. Others offered hidden teachings about safety in transformation, consciousness, and spiritual awakening.

In this Bible and Beyond course, we explore two extraordinary texts from early Christianity: the biblical Revelation to John and the Secret Revelation of John, discovered at Nag Hammadi in Egypt. Written in the shadow of Roman oppression, these texts wrestle with suffering, power, salvation, and the nature of reality itself—but in dramatically different ways.

Together we’ll explore apocalypse and secret revelation, the beasts of empire and the stillness of the “unshakable generation,” the New Jerusalem and the awakening of the soul.

This course is designed for thoughtful learners seeking historical insight, spiritual depth, and a fresh perspective on the diversity of early Christianity.

What to expect:

The course is divided into three sections, each section containing several lectures. You can watch the recordings at your convenience and enjoy continued access to them. The full course includes over two hours of recorded instruction.

Two Types of Courses

Bible and Beyond offers two different types of courses. One is a self-study course. This consists of recorded lectures, which you can view at your own pace, 24/7. You can purchase the self-study version of any course and immediately start learning at any time. The other is a live online hybrid course. Live online hybrid courses consist of recorded lectures you can watch anytime and live Zoom discussions led by Dr. Shirley Paulson. We offer a variety of live online hybrid courses at different times throughout the year. Check the live online hybrid course page to learn more and see which courses are scheduled.

Enrollment in this self-study course is available now, and priced at $29.00.

When it’s being offered, enrollment in the Live Online Hybrid version of the course is $69.00.

Would you like to host a live online hybrid course group? If you and a group of friends are interested in taking a course together, we are interested in making that happen! All courses are available as live online hybrids, so just get in touch with us to work out the details.
